HVAC fault diagnosis and repair in Cornellà de Llobregat
On-site diagnosis and repair of HVAC faults in warehouses, offices and shops in Cornellà de Llobregat, with or without a maintenance contract.
An HVAC fault in Cornellà de Llobregat plays out differently in a logistics warehouse, on an office floor or in a high-street shop. In the warehouse it can hit the order-picking area or a cold room; in the office, a whole floor connected to the same system; in the shop, the day's trading. MRS Climatización diagnoses and repairs these faults for maintenance managers, property managers and shop operators, whether or not they have a maintenance contract with us.
Common faults by building type
- Warehouses with rooftop units: high-pressure trips on hot days, condenser coils clogged with dust, worn fan belts and bearings, and water ingress through deteriorated roof seals.
- Offices with VRF: communication errors between indoor and outdoor units, sensors giving false readings, stuck expansion valves, and zones that no longer reach set point after offices are reconfigured.
- Shops in residential blocks: outdoor units in poorly ventilated light wells that recirculate their own hot air, long condensate runs with too little fall, and older units running on phased-out refrigerants.
Heat, humidity and dust
Summers in the lower Llobregat combine heat and humidity. Condensers in full sun run at their limit, and a little dirt on the coil is enough to make the unit trip at peak load. Humidity increases condensate volumes, so a drain that coped in April starts overflowing in July. Around industrial buildings and main roads, dust speeds this up. So when a unit keeps tripping in summer, the first step is to measure: pressures, condensing temperatures, and compressor and fan current draw.
When the cause is electrical
In industrial buildings with older electrical installations, or ones extended in stages, some apparent HVAC faults start in the panel: worn contactors, protection devices that do not match the current unit's rating, or voltage drop at start-up. As MRS also works on electrical installations and panels, the diagnosis covers both sides in the same visit.
With or without a contract
Clients with a contract have their call-outs prioritised as agreed and according to the criticality of the equipment. Without a contract, one-off repairs are also accepted. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:30, and night or out-of-hours work can be arranged in advance. Cornellà borders Barcelona, and visits are coordinated from the office on Rambla de Catalunya; once identified, spare parts are planned from the Sabadell warehouse according to the equipment and availability. The general method is described under HVAC fault diagnosis and repair.
Preparing for the visit
- Where the outdoor unit is and how to reach it: warehouse roof, communal roof, light well or façade.
- Whether lifting equipment is needed to reach the units.
- Loading bay or opening hours when work should be avoided.
- A contact person with keys and, for warehouses, the access paperwork the site requires.
- Make, model and any alarm codes, noted before resetting.
When the fault keeps coming back
If the same unit fails every summer or drains block again and again, the answer lies in preventive maintenance. The HVAC maintenance in Cornellà page explains how the plan is adapted to each type of building in the town.

Frequently asked questions
Do you repair HVAC in a shop in Cornellà without a contract?
Yes. MRS takes on one-off repairs for clients without a maintenance contract. To prepare the visit, give us the shop's address, where the outdoor unit is (roof, light well or façade), the make and model if you know them, and any alarm codes. If access depends on the residents' association, let the property administrator know before the visit.
Our warehouse rooftop unit trips on summer afternoons. Why?
It is usually a high-pressure trip. The most common causes are a condenser fouled by local dust, an incorrect refrigerant charge, a fan not reaching full speed, or hot air recirculating between units placed too close together. Measuring pressures, temperatures and current draw shows which it is and avoids replacing parts unnecessarily.
Can you look at the fault outside shop or office hours?
Yes, if it is arranged in advance. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:30, and night or out-of-hours work is scheduled when the activity calls for it, for example a shop that cannot close, or an office that would rather not have technicians working in the ceiling void during the working day.
What if the fault is in a warehouse cold room?
MRS also works in industrial refrigeration, so the cold room is diagnosed the same way as HVAC: pressures, temperatures, defrost cycles, evaporator fans and the control panel. If a spare part is needed, it is planned according to the equipment and availability, and temporary measures to protect stock in the meantime are considered.
Do you need to go up on the communal roof to repair a shop's unit?
In most cases yes, because that is where the outdoor unit is and where pressures and current draw are measured. Give us the contact for the property administrator or whoever holds the key, and tell us if the roof lacks safe access. That avoids a visit where only the indoor unit can be checked.
